In celebration of Gardena’s 75th anniversary on September 11, 2005, a pictorial history of the City, “Images of America-GARDENA CA” was produced by the Gardena Heritage Committee and is now available for sale. It is the first ever photo documentary of the Gardena Valley area that in 1930 became the incorporated City of Gardena. The publication is full of interesting photos and little known facts of the famous and the infamous who have roots in the City. In addition to the history of the city’s development, the book includes chapters on “Cards, Cars and Stars” and “Bet You Didn’t Know”.
