One lieutenant manages the night time Patrol Bureau between Sunday and Wednesday; one lieutenant manages the night time between Wednesday through Saturday; one lieutenant manages the day time between Sunday and Wednesday; and one lieutenant manages the day time between Wednesday through Saturday. The Patrol Bureau is responsible for handling all calls for service from the public. These calls for service are received by the South Bay Regional Communications Center, who then dispatch our officers to the various locations to provide assistance. The Patrol Bureau also includes some special details, such as the Traffic Detail, Transit Security Detail, Parking Enforcement, and the Community Oriented Policing Detail. The Bureau is currently comprised of two (2) lieutenants, eight (8) sergeants, forty-four (44) police officers, and two (4) part-time civilian parking enforcement officers.
