Sister City Association
Did you know that the City of Gardena has two Sister Cities? Well, we
do! Huatabampo, Mexico and Ichikawa, Japan both share Sister City status
with us. The Gardena Sister City Association meets at the Nakaoka Community
Center at 7:00 p.m. on the fourth Monday of each month. Join others
in promoting our City while exploring others.

Gardena Bonsai Society
The Gardena Bonsai Society meets regularly at the Nakaoka Community
Center on the first Friday of the month at 7 p.m. The Society is a group
for the novice and the experienced bonsai artist, with each meeting
being highlighted by demonstrations and lectures. Lessons are also available
on Wednesday nights. The Annual Bonsai Show is held on the first weekend
of May.
Gardena Valley Camera Club
Are you interested in taking pictures and learning more about cameras?
Then the Gardena Valley Camera Club is for you! Meetings are held the
first and second Tuesday night at the Nakaoka Community Center beginning
at 7:30 p.m. Live model shoots for Club members are held on the first
Tuesday. Business/Program meetings are held on the second Tuesday. The
Club sponsors the oldest, continuous Photo Day in Southern California.

Gardena Cymbidium
Club
Cymbidium Orchids are the interest of those in the Gardena Cymbidium
Club. Meetings are held every third Tuesday of the month at the Nakaoka
Community Center at 6:30 p.m. The Club offers lectures, competitions,
demonstrations and shows. The Club hosts their annual show in February.
Gardena Kawai
Sumi-e Club
The Kawai Sumi-e Club meets every Tuesday evening from 5:30-9 p.m. at
the Nakaoka Community Center. Sumi-e is the Japanese art of black and
white painting.
