After almost 2 years of input from the community and stakeholders, the City of Gardena adopted an updated General Plan on April 25, 2006 to guide growth and development in the city for the next 15-20 years. The city also completed the first phase of General Plan Implementation Program with the adoption of changes to the Zoning Ordinance and Zone Changes throughout the city.
