Cable Programming and Broadcasts
The Gardena Cable TV Channels feature weekly community service organization activities and special events. Programming is available at these times:

Monday through Friday (Channel 22)
1:00 - 4:00 p.m. - Community Programming
7:00 - 10:00 p.m. - Community and City Government Programming

2nd and 4th Tuesdays of Each Month (Channel 22)
7:30 p.m. - Live Cablecast of the City Council Meeting

Saturday and Sunday (Channel 22 or 31)
4:00 p.m. - Re-running of the Most Recent City Council Meeting

Sunday through Saturday (Channel 3)
24 Hours/Day -Community Bulletin Board

Gardena Cable Usage Corporation (GCUC)
The Gardena Cable Usage Corporation (GCUC), comprised of nine members appointed by the City Council, manages and promotes the use of public access cable television to provide assistance and information to the general public. A vital part of the mission of the Corporation is the role of advocate, promoter and facilitator of the public's use of cable television resources in the community. The key word is facilitator, not producer. Community cable TV programming is as diverse as the variety of citizens or organizations that choose to take advantage of local resources available for television production.

In the belief that full and free communication and expression are essential to a democratic society, GCUC provides a vehicle of public participation for this process and is dedicated to bringing all aspects of community life closer to the citizens of Gardena through the medium of local television.
