Class Registration

Class Sign-ups Mail-In Registration
Complete the registration form and enclose the following:

A check made payable to the City of Gardena.

A self-addressed stamped envelope.

A completed registration form.

Mail the packet to:
The City of Gardena Recreation & Human Services Department, 1670 West 162nd Street, Gardena 90247. Call (310) 217-9537 to confirm your registration if a receipt has not been received prior to the first day of class.

Walk-in Registration
Walk-in registration is held at the Nakaoka Community Center, 1670 W. 162nd Street, located between Normandie and Western Avenues. Both checks and cash are accepted at this time.

Cancellations
Class times, prices and/or locations are subject to change by the Department. If the minimum amount of registration for each class is not met, the Instructor or the Department may cancel the class. Transfers from one class to another must be requested to the Department Office prior to the first day of class. If an individual class is canceled by the Instructor, it is the Instructor’s responsibility to contact each student. The class will be made up at the end of the session.

Refunds
Unless under extreme emergency, refunds are not given. The Department reserves the right to refuse refunds. Refunds are only considered before the first class begins. If a class is canceled by the Department, an automatic refund will be processed by the Department and mailed to you within four weeks.

Other Points to Remember
A completed registration form and liability release is required for registration. Fees must be paid in full in advance. Class fees are not prorated. Each class has a minimum/maximum amount of registration required. Registration will be denied following the maximum amount of registrants. Registration is given on a first come, first served basis.

PARK RULES
No Smoking allowed on any City Facility.
No Alcoholic Beverages
No animals allowed
No drugs.
No alcoholic beverages.
No loitering or disorderly conduct.
No littering, no graffiti.
No skateboarding or bike riding.
No tree climbing, no hitching of animals to a tree, plant or rock.
No Moon Bounces or Astro Jumps Allowed.
No possession of weapons of any kind.
No soliciting, peddling or vending.
No fireworks or explosives of any kind.
No posting of signs, placards or advertising of any kind.
