People with disabilities face many difficult challenges finding employment. The Gardena One-Stop Employment and

Business Center has taken appropriate steps to address all such challenges in order to effectively serve this customer group. To enhance services for individuals with disabilities, the One-Stop Center is employing a new service called Disability Program Navigator (DPN).
The primary objective of Disability Program Navigator is to increase employment and self-sufficiency for persons with disabilities, by linking them to employers and by facilitating access to programs and services that impact successful entry or re-entry into the workforce. The Gardena One-Stop Center benefits this program by giving individuals with disabilities access to all One-Stop Center resources.
The Gardena One-Stop Centers Assistive Technology Services are designed to meet the needs of the physically disabled, hearing impaired, visually impaired and the learning disabled. A variety of resources are available from a TTY line to text amplifiers and software. Through these resources, the center is able to provide simple and convenient services to the disabled community.
