City Treasurer

J. Ingrid Tsukiyama was re-elected for a second, four-year term as City Treasurer of Gardena in March 2009. Prior to her election to the position of City Treasurer, in March 2005, she had already served the City of Gardena for eleven years as Deputy City Treasurer.
For the past ten years, she has held the Deputy City Treasurer position at a neighboring city where she employs her extensive financial background to manage a budget of over $140million.
Now, in her second term as City Treasurer, she continues to work closely with the Mayor and the City Council to help ensure the financial health of Gardena and its citizens.
Along with her responsibilities to the citizens, Ms. Tsukiyama also serves on the City's Finance Committee. She serves and has served as treasurer for various organizations such as No GRAB, Gardena Cable Usage Corporation, South Bay Classic Foundation and the City of Gardena Sister City Association. She holds professional memberships with the Municipal Treasurer's Association, South Bay Board of Realtors and the California Municipal Treasurer's Association.
Gardena has been Ingrid Tsukiyama's home for over 30 years.
