The Office of Economic Development located at 1700 W. 162nd Street
in Gardena is focused on promoting and stimulating economic development
within the City that increases the quality of life for all people.
The major goals of Economic Development are to attract new businesses,
provide service to its residents, increase the Citys tax base
and stimulate job creation.
Economic Development offers assistance to developers for demographic
and other market data. They also provide business expansion and
relocation information.
Gardena is home to 175 manufacturing businesses that are known for
offering services and support to several leading aerospace companies.
Other strong areas of activity include metalworking and machinery,
food processing, and furniture manufacturing. Gardena also has several
national retail credit tenants.
Gardena enjoys an ideal centralized location, with access to four
freeways, the Los Angeles and Long Beach Ports, and the Los Angeles
International Airport.
The Office of Economic Development is open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30
p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
