The City of Gardena Transportation Department has a convenient and affordable transit system that transports citizens all over the City of Gardena. The basic local fare is $1.00 per person on all lines. Local fare is free for children under the age of 5 years (maximum of two children under five per adult). Seventy (70) cents for students with valid ID, and thirty-five (35) cents for seniors age 62 and over and disabled citizens. Transfers may also be purchased for forty (40) cents.
